Annual Exams—it is importance to have an annual exam to detect and treat any new or ongoing health problems in addition to helping prevent future problems from developing.
Adolescent Gynecology—special care is needed when diagnosing and treating gynecological concerns in teens; we work with teens to develop a plan that meets their needs.
Preconception Counseling—the goal of preconception counseling is to check for any potential risks to you and your baby during pregnancy and to take care of any medical issues you may have before you get pregnant.
Endometriosis—the condition occurs when cells from the lining of the womb (uterus) grow in other areas of the body. It can have a significant range of symptoms including having no pain or problems to having excruciating painful periods and infertility.
Heavy Periods—women who have heavy periods may encounter isolation and embarrassment. Heavy periods can also cause fatigue and heart changes.
Absence of Periods—women can have no periods for many reasons. If you are not experiencing periods when you normally should, please call us.
Breast Health—breast exams and mammograms help detect cancer early, which can make a huge difference in the treatment of breast cancer.
Management of Irregular Bleeding—While not all irregular bleeding is dangerous, the inconvenience and discomfort can affect normal daily living. We can help women find solutions to this sometimes complex problem.
Menopause/Perimenopause/Hormone Replacement Therapy—menopause can cause a range of symptoms including seriously uncomfortable hot flashes, night sweats and mood swings. Many women have historically been told to “deal with” these symptoms. However, there are many options available for treatment that we invite you to discuss with us.
Infections—when something happens to change the bacterial balance in the vagina women can develop infections. Symptoms can include discomfort, itching and vaginal discharge. Any infection is cause for concern and should be treated promptly as it could lead to an infection in the pelvis and ultimately infertility.
Uterine Prolapse—this occurs when the muscles and ligaments in the pelvic floor weaken. Symptoms may include: a feeling of heaviness or fullness in the vaginal area, aching or bulging in the pelvic area, problems with urination, constipation, pain in the lower abdomen, groin or lower back, vaginal bleeding and/or discharge, or noticing tissue extending from the vagina. Urinary Incontinence—there are different forms of incontinence most of which can be successfully treated with medication and/or surgeries. You do not have to suffer through leaking and should talk with us if you are suffering from any type of incontinence issues.
Cervical Cancer—pap tests can detect cervical cancer before the disease causes any symptoms. If you have any questions about whether you should have a pap test or not, we encourage you to contact us.
